At least, some bug correction for Director 11 !

And H264 native (?) integration : that is wonderful : no need for Quicktime secret installation or dll hack on windows ?

I see there is still an absence of Director shockwave lite for mobile devices. As well as this the 3d engine could have done with a serious upgrade. Guess it’s time to buy Unity 3d. I’m bored of half hearted efforts to be honest guys.

@Paul: I completely agree on the ‘half hearted efforts’; especially concerning Director’s 3D engine & capabilities. Too bad. On the other hand there are still some people left with a lot of faith in Director… despite the lousy (and shameful) support Adobe offers. Nothing about the D 11.5 release on the adobe.com homepage. Why invest in a package like Director when there is no (commercial) coverage by it’s mothership… Still I’m going to download the demo and hope for some performance issues. For the record: I’ve been a loyal Director user since version 4.

    ** fixed performance issues 🙂

    Careful when installing 11.5!

When you install Director 11.5 it automatically overwrites 11. Meaning you just lost your Director 11 license because you did not deactivate it first.

If you want to go back to 11 because the new features break your old game, you have a problem. It will tell you your license has been used.

    Happy coding!

BTW. I am referring to the Mac version.

Thanks Rick. I’m now scared to install 11.5 since I can’t find my copy of Dir11 anywhere (the downloaded dmg file). Ugh. Must be somewhere on a backup CD…

guys, does it finally solve the “Vista clashes” errors – “The Projector is not responding” (due to memory issues)?

    Anyone?

    Hi all
I am currently working on a project with Director 11.5 Unfortunately has a bug. When importing Quicktime movies encoded with h264. Director quits unexpectedly. I hope someday we can work with this format, with no problems.

    ATTENTION!

BEFORE upgrading to 11.5, be sure to back up your entire system, including registry, and your Director folder. I have had numerous problems with 11.5 (projector crashes, not able to update movies made in 11, etc), and am trying to go back to 11. It won’t re-install because of license issues, and Adobe support says I have to format/reinstall Windows. Yes, that is some sh*tty support.
